Cheaper by the Dozen - 12 kids? In this economy?

How many kids is too many for one household? Rolando and Nicole debate the question whilst debating "Cheaper by the Dozen."
A 1950-film based on an autobiography kicks off a franchise that would spawn two remakes. But, how can 2003's Cheaper by the Dozen be considered a remake if the only concept carried over is a family having 12 kids? And, how can a film 33 years its junior feel more dated than a film from 1950 set in the 1920s?
Then, they turn their attention on the next dozen children in Disney Plus's new original, "Cheaper by the Dozen." The film changes the formula by creating a mixed-family and using identity politics to tell a fresh new story. But does it succeed or does it feel like it's trying too hard? Listen to find out.

The Batman - Everyone in Gotham is an orphan (with MacKenzie Green)

A new blockbuster season, a new Batman.
This year, Nicole and Rolando are joined by MacKenzie Green to dissect Matt Reeves's "The Batman." Robert Pattinson, as the titular caped-crusader, is joined by Zoë Kravitz, the latest Catwoman; Collin Farrell, unrecognizable as The Penguin; and Paul Dano, as an incellic reimagining of The Riddler.
Can The Batman step out of the shadows of both Batfleck and Chistopher Nolan? What does this film do differently when it comes to the treatment of Bruce Wayne and Batman? Death on the Nile - All these outfits had us gay-gasping

All aboard the S.S. Karnak as we venture down the Nile with Rolando and Nicole. But something foul is afoot: Murder. But even worse, according to Nicole, inaccurate depictions of mustached detectives!
This week is all about 1974's Death on the Nile starring Peter Ustinov, Bette Davis, Mia Farrow, and Angela Lansbury (to name a few). The film, a follow up to Murder on the Orient Express, loses Albert Finney for a new Poirot. How does this actor compare? And how does the film handle the Egyptian setting? And what exactly was the tone of the film?
Then they turn their attentions to 2022's scandal-ridden Death on the Nile, which sees Kenneth Branagh return as both actor and director. How does the film compare to the 1974 adaptation? And how faithful is this film to the source material? And does it even matter?

1996's "Scream" changed horror films when it premiered and ushered in a new era of slasher flicks. But what made "Scream" stand out from all the copycats? This week, Rolando and Nicole reminisce about their memories of this franchise and what makes this film so memorable.
