Justice League - Does This Even Qualify?

Justice League: The Snyder Cut. Hot mess or masterpiece? But more importantly, is it even a remake? Nicole argues that 2017's Justice League is the remake of Snyder's original vision. Rolando argues the theatrically released film is the original and the Snyder cut is a remake. Where do you stand?

Godzilla VS. Kong - I Have Expected Them To Kiss

The fight you've all been waiting for is finally here. Rolando versus Nicole? Nope - lower those expectations. It's Godzilla versus King Kong. Or just Kong as he's been dethroned or something. We don't know. We never saw "Kong: Skull Island."
But before we talk about 2021's "Godzilla Vs. Kong," Rolando and Nicole go way back in time and discuss 1933's "King Kong" and 1954's "Godzilla." One of these films would change filmmaking forever. The other will spawn a Kaiju craze. But what is the depth behind these two films and why do audiences hold them so dear even today?
And did you know that these two overgrown beasts have met before? Because they did in 1962's "King Kong Vs. Godzilla," proving that men in monster suits fighting over miniatures will always pack in theaters. Can the same be said in 2021? Listen to find out.

Saved by the Bell - When Woke Becomes the Butt of a Joke

If you're a millennial you likely grew up watching "Saved by the Bell." Maybe you stuck with the show through "The College Years." Hell, maybe you even witnessed Zack and Kelly get married in "Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas." And you probably grew up thinking, "Zack Morris is so cool!" Until a little YouTube series by "Funny or Die" shattered that illusion with "Zack Morris is Trash." And suddenly, every fan of Saved by the Bell was forced to reckon with the realization that Zack Morris is kind of a douche.
At least that was Nicole and Rolando's journey with the show. This week, the duo take aim at "Saved by the Bell" and the Peacock revival.
What is the legacy of the after-school sitcom for kids? Was AC Slater Italian or Hispanic? Why was Jessie Spano so hated by audiences back in the day? And how do you revive a show with a problematic main character? Peacock's answer: replace him with a poor, inner-city Latina. Is that enough? Listen to find out.

Punky Brewster - Checking Off All The Boxes

This week is all about America's favorite little orphan! No, not Annie. It's the one and only Punky Brewster! Did you grow up with this show? Rolando and Nicole certainly didn't but Eddie Z is the show's fiercest defender and helps explain why kids loved it. Does the show's wholesomeness stand the test of time?
Then, Soleil Moon Frye reprises the role that made her a child star in 2021's Peacock original, "Punky Brewster." Nicole comes swinging while Eddie Z bobs and weaves. Did the revival abandon the free-spirit that won over hearts in the 80's and maker her too "normal?" Coming to America, Coming 2 America - Celebration of Black Excellence

Before Wakanda there was Zamunda. This week, Nicole and Rolando discuss 1988's "Coming To America." The movie is regarded as an 80's classic comedy and marks a turning point for Eddie Murphy's career. How does the movie hold up and where does it rank among Eddie Murphy's career?

The Hardy Boys- No Adult In This Town Has Any Authority!

It might be a mystery as to why The Hardy Boys have such staying power, but it's no mystery that Nicole and Rolando finally got around to covering this case!
